Join us for the Slot Car Race at EuroMold 2014

The Slot Car Race will make its way to EuroMold, one of the world’s largest trade fairs.
Whether you’ve printed your own slot car design, would like to race one of our 3D-printed slot car, or just want to cheer the racers on, come stop by the Slot Car Race on Tuesday, November 25th from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm at Messe Frankfurt, Germany during the Materialise Evening Reception.
By attending the event, you will have the opportunity to network with other racers, designers, 3D Printing enthusiasts & professionals. Come over and discover the atmosphere of a real race, while enjoying drinks & finger food.
You do not have to register to just join the Evening Reception.
Print Your Own Slot Car Design!
What can you create with 3D Printing? We challenge our competitors to design unique slot cars that showcase the functional and aesthetic qualities that 3D Printing offers. Plus, how cool would it be if you designed the winning car!

2. Design a totally awesome slot car
3. 3D print it
4. Come to EuroMold in Frankfurt
5. Race your slot car on November 25th
6. Compete for prizes in several categories

If you haven’t printed your own slot car but would still like to race, email Charlotte.Delaere@materialise.be or stop by the Materialise booth before 4:00 pm to reserve a Materialise car to race. Make sure to reserve yours early as there are a limited number of cars!

In an evening full of fun and networking at Materialise’s First Race at 2014 RAPID 3D Printing Conference in Detroit, 25 teams designed, built and raced 3D-printed slot cars. Competitors included such storied names as GE, Ford, Takata, Stratasys, Legacy Effects, among many others (check out the full list of participants here). Awards were given out in different categories including fastest lap, most original design, and most innovative use of AM.
