formnext 2017: Stratasys To Make New Technology Announcements Expanding Impact and Applications for Full Colour, Multi-Material 3D Printing

European tradeshow debut for Stratasys Continuous Build 3D Demonstrator

Stratasys customer keynote: ‘Siemens Mobility customizes low-volume production with additive manufacturing’, Christoph van Den Eertwegh, Siemens AG, Mobility Customer Services,

Tuesday 14th November, 10.30am, Stage 2

Stratasys presentation: ‘Solutions for Additive Manufacturing’, Andreas Langfeld, Tuesday 14th November, 15:45-16:00, TCT Introducing Stage

Next month’s formnext exhibition in Frankfurt (14 – 17 November) will see global leader in applied additive technologies, Stratasys, demonstrate how the company is directly addressing the exacting and varied needs of manufacturers, designers and educators via a powerful solutions offering that spans continuous manufacturing, rapid prototyping and advanced materials

Highlighting the way in which additive manufacturing can improve lead times and reduce costs, Stratasys customer, Siemens Mobility, will deliver an insightful keynote on Stage 2, Tuesday 14th November, 10.30am, entitled, Siemens Mobility customizes low-volume production with additive manufacturing.’ This will be followed at 15.45h the same day by a second informative presentation on the TCT Introducing Stage where Stratasys’ Andreas Langfeld will take a close look at Solutions for Additive Manufacturing.’

Making professional rapid prototyping more productive and realistic

Visitors to Stratasys’ stand (Hall 3.1, Stand F40), can benefit from an up-close look at how the company is delivering its value offering for rapid prototyping. Stratasys will showcase the F123 Series Rapid Prototyping Solution which, following its introduction just this year, continues to prove a massive hit among design workgroups. Addressing the complete prototyping workflow – from initial concept verification to design validation to final functional performance – the advanced yet easy-to-use Stratasys F123 Series ensures product designs are thoroughly evaluated and endorsed before manufacturing, resulting in better products and shorter lead times. Also part of the rapid prototyping line-up will be the Stratasys J750 full color, multi-material 3D Printing Solution – which offers the capability to print truly realistic prototypes – in a single print.

Stratasys will use formnext to reveal how it will enable Stratasys J750 users to exercise more control over part geometries and aesthetic properties. Thanks to a unique new utility that enables vivid color transparency combined with full color texture, users will now have greater levels of color and texture control for more realistic prototypes.

Enabling volume production and mass customization

Proving how it is leading the effort to deliver volume production and mass customization with 3D printing, Stratasys will use formnext to showcase its newest development solution, the Continuous Build 3D Demonstrator, which will be making its first appearance at a European tradeshow. The multi-cell, scalable architecture-based platform is designed to extend beyond the one operator – one 3D printer paradigm; with only minor operator intervention, parts are produced in a continuous stream that sees completed parts automatically ejected and new ones started.

Engineered for organizations who need continuous production capability, customized (ABS) plastic parts without tooling, or just-in-time inventory and distributed manufacturing for improved supply chain efficiency, the Continuous Build 3D Demonstrator set new standards in additive manufacturing throughput.

Mass-customization up-close and personal!

Formnext visitors will be able to experience the mass customization of production parts for themselves. Having selected and ordered their part from a choice of various designs, visitors will be able to collect the completed part from the Stratasys stand.

Further demonstrating the power of FDM for production parts and tooling, the Fortus 450mc 3D Printer will be running live on stand. Now a primary choice for the factory floor of the world’s leading manufacturers for tooling and low volume production applications, the success of the Fortus-line of 3D printers is due in no small measure to the wide selection of real-engineering materials available.

Indeed, Formnext visitors can learn more about Stratasys’ ever-expanding materials portfolio, which as well as high strength/high use advanced FDM options like Nylon and Nylon Carbon Filled materials, also includes a reliable and proven range for rapid prototyping/design requirements – among them the flexible Agilus 30 and low-cost PLA material.
